Our Team

We’re all different and yet have one thing in common in that we’re all passionate about helping you find the right dress for you.  Trust us to help you get it right.  And trust what our brides say about us.

The team are expert at assessing your personal style and making helpful suggestions.

I had been to quite a few bridal shops and really hadn’t enjoyed the experience as I’d felt hurried into dresses that were nothing close to what I wanted.

I’ve honestly never come across such a beautiful team of people who are so kind, professional and full of happiness!

Maria (The Boss)

Director

25 years on and there’s nothing Maria likes better than helping a bride find the perfect dress and any excuse to google a gorgeous venue and have a good old girly gossip about anything from skiing to schools to Succession on Sky TV!!

Her passion for bridal extends beyond being hands on in the boutique.  She is an industry coach, a columnist and an Awards Judge.  As a successful influencer within the bridal industry she is known as Maria the Mentor working with UK and international bridal retailers sharing her knowledge under her Get Savvy Coaching brand.

When she’s not working (which isn’t often) she loves being Mama to her 18 year old daughter and to her 13 year old Cavalier King Charles, sipping Sauvignon Blanc, skiing in Les Arcs 1950, family holidays anywhere warm, catching up with friends and binge watching anything from Money Heist to Grey’s Anatomy.

Maria is the best in the business, my wife is still blown away with her dress 6 months after the event! She knows the business inside out, was extremely efficient but kept an allure of fun and positivity throughout.

Alexandra (The Real Boss)

Alexandra (The Real Boss)

Manager

Alexandra works across all areas of the boutique from styling brides to conducting fittings and everything in between to ensure things run smoothly for all of our brides. Her background in couture design means that customising gowns is second nature to her. She instinctively knows which designer will work for a bride – her nickname should be The Matchmaker.  From adding small personal touches to a complete bespoke design of a gown or veil Alexandra will interpret your ideas and make that Pinterest board a reality.

Funny, kind, caring, understanding, honest, hugely knowledgeable and full of ideas and solutions are just a few of the amazing qualities you will find with Alexandra.  She always takes things above and beyond and nothing is ever a problem for her.  You will be met with a bubbly and can do attitude and the patience of a saint. When not in the boutique you will find her relaxing with her partner, friends or in the gym.  She loves cooking and it comes as no surprise that interior design is one of her passions. What might surprise you is her other passion which is sports cars.  Yes she’s a bit of a petrol head.

Utterly wonderful. I cannot recommend Alexandra high enough. After painful experiences in London she was endlessly patient and steered me through the (millions!) of decisions to find my perfect dress. She knew what I wanted far better than I could articulate, but helped me come to my own conclusions – a true skill! I looked forward to every appointment and there was such genuine care and love at every step. My family were made to feel a real part of it, and we are all missing Alexandra and our regular appointments now the wedding is over! Wonderful from start to finish. The best!

Flo

Flo

Junior Stylist & PA

Our Girl Friday (or Wonder Woman Wednesday)

Flo has been with us for 7 years after being poached from The Cake Shed next door. She started at our sister shop Go Bridal as a Saturday Stylist and then was persuaded by Alexandra to return to The Pantiles to be her right hand woman.

Her role is predominantly behind the scenes ie coordinating fittings, taking accessory appointments, painstakingly prepping your dress for the big day, supplying a steady caffeine fix for Alexandra and creating a sense of calm during full on fittings days with the Rescue Remedy close at hand.

When she’s not looking after brides (and Alexandra) she works as a nanny and her nurturing and calm personality are well suited to this role.  Her real love is spending time with her 3 year old son at the allotment growing her own fruit and vegetables.

When she got married 5 years ago Flo experienced Pantiles Bride through a different lens as a customer.  She chose a small, sustainable wedding day with an at home venue and walked down the aisle to Jurassic Park’s theme tune.

Thank you Wonder Woman Wednesday for what you bring to the team.
